Slots hitting big time in Penn National
The major plan of Penn National Gaming Inc., received by the Grantville government officials touted $240 million slots casino including the restaurants, slot machines, club house, valet parking, a garage with five story parking and for the reverent guests who will consider arriving in limos, a 35 spaced parking garage. Consequently, the proposal could entail the track evolvement and surge in real estate prices across Grantville. A price of $1.7 million is anticipated to be yielded from the 40-acre property, adjacent to the Penn National. Dennis McEnany, the Realtor assesses that following the opening of a slot parlor, shopping centers or outlet malls would undoubtedly prevail around the Penn National.

A grand opening of the Penn National facility is intended for the upcoming 2006, providing that the company receives its state license. The gambling expansion in Pennsylvania may lead to infusion of blackjack tables, and the Penn National day-trip attraction may ultimately be superseded by the overnight destination. The construction process is yet in diapers pending the approval of officials, but the $50 million of Penn National's $240 million project is already allotted for the license.

The future developments in the area are dependant upon the resident's inkling and the availability of utilities, but further spreading out to more service oriented enterprises such as beauty salons and stores will only become realistic with the residential development.
