Slot machines - another controversial campaign is on the rise
Slots have long been in the hob of Maryland debates, but a new controversy is conceived in the West Virginia legislature. The infusion of Slot machines and gaming tables to Charles Town Races created uproar, being a touchy issue for the both sides.
John Doyle, the West Virginia Delegate, an unconditional opponent of this idea, has recently veered his opinion considering this theme as a manageable one. He is still lingering in between ‘yes’ and ‘no’ parties, currently poising somewhere on the ‘maybe’. The reason for his hesitation, he says comes from citizens who’ve proposed to take the issue into reconsideration. He added later on that according to the way he sees it the Charles Town Races and Slots would not have asked the voters to approve a referendum until the soil would not have been properly nurtured for this to take place. In other words, Doyle said the voters seem to be ready to approve it.
Annapolis, meanwhile cannot come to a compromise on the slot machines legislation, as the contention between the House and Senate versions is in a backlash, without any feasible way out.
