Last month, gamblers playing an Extra Money slot machine at Caesars Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana, got unusually lucky. During two days, the machine reportedly yielded 10 times the amount of money players put in, without them even having to play. The bounteous slot machine gave away $487,000 until an honest player reported the problem to casino officials.
According to a statement issued by casino officials, a certain switch inside the machine has been set incorrectly. Following the malfunction, the machine was instructed to multiply gamblers' credit by 10. Local police were reported as saying that, thus far, there was no indication of criminal activity involvement. The Indiana Gaming Commission has opened an investigation on the case. |
