Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Grants Four New Slots Distribution Licenses
Pennsylvania's Gaming Control Board recently issued distribution licenses to four additional slot machine distributors. The new licensees include New Century Entertainment, a Pittsburgh-based company, as well as three companies from Philadelphia: Liberty Gaming Distributors, CGR Gaming Associates and KGM Gaming. The board had previously granted 11 licenses to other slots distribution candidates. The board will receive a $25,000 fee from all licensed slots distributors.
Under the law, the state's future 14 casinos must buy slot machines from intermediaries instead of acquiring their equipment directly from slots manufacturers. Distributors will have to store the slot machines until they are transferred to casinos. The distributors will also provide casinos with all necessary maintenance services for the gaming machines.
