Ohio Learn and Earn Organization Conceals True Intentions of Legalizing Slots?
It was recently reported that some gambling opponents in Ohio reportedly believe that the state Learn and Earn organization was hiding its true aim of legalizing slot machine operation across the state, behind its effort to gather signatures for a proposal that would provide great sums of money for college education.

Indeed, if Learn and Earn is ultimately successful in gathering as many as 323,000 valid signatures by August 9, it could put a proposal before Ohio voters in November that would potentially allow the operation of slot machines at seven horse tracks and at two gaming sites in downtown Cleveland.

Nevertheless, David Hopcraft, a Learn and Earn spokesman, denied that the organization was hiding the fact that the source of funding for the education proposal would come from slot machine gaming. According to Hopcraft, if people do ask about the proposal's funding, signature recruiters would provide an honest answer.
