It was recently reported that a gambler won a $12.3 million jackpot at one of Isle of Capri casino's slot machines in Biloxi, Mississippi. The man, a resident of Columbus, Georgia, got lucky playing a "Wheel of Fortune"-style progressive slots device.
According to Justin Hill, Biloxi's marketing director, the fortunate slots winner, whose name was not disclosed, refused to sign a press release. He told casino officials that he had invested some $40 in the slot-machine before hitting the grand jackpot, Hill reportedly added.
All of Mississippi's "Wheel of Fortune" slot machines are linked from one local casino to another through a statewide network.
