Authorities in Sparks, Nevada were recently reported as saying that local police officers arrested a suspected serial robber accused of setting fire in private businesses. According to police, the 46-year-old Bernardo Cruz-Mosquera was apprehended at a Sparks truck stop playing at a slot machine just minutes after he allegedly robbed a Reno McDonald's restaurant.
Police said that an armed man ran up to the McDonald's manager as he was about to open the venue's doors. The suspect had a white bandanna on his face. He demanded that the manager deactivate the alarm and forced him at gunpoint to give him money. Police also said that the slots-playing suspect took the hefty amount of $4,800.
Reno police Sgt. Randy Saulnier reportedly stated that detectives assigned to the case were investigating the alleged robber's possible involvement in several other similar Reno assaults.
