Armed Individuals Attack Russian Slots Parlor, Attempt to Hijack Train
Two armed individuals recently held up a slot machine parlor in the Russian city of Kurgan. While fleeing from police officers, one of the gunmen attempted to hijack the "Kurgan-Shandrinsk" suburban electric train. Reportedly, the fleeing gunman burst into the conductor's car and demanded that the train set off in order to leave the city. He threatened both the conductor and his assistant with a weapon and took their mobile phones.
Luckily, after a short period of time, the hijacker-wanna-be was apprehended by policemen. No injuries were reported. His crime partner, who was holding the stolen slots money, was detained as well. Both gunmen carried gas pistols, which were confiscated by police. Local authorities are currently investigating the case.
In the meantime, following the local prosecutor's request, the failed bandits are being held in police custody. Their names have not yet been released to the media and, at this point, their future is uncertain.
