Olympic Casino, the Baltic region's most prominent casino company, recently opened its fifth slots casino in Kiev, the Ukrainian capital. The newly-launched casino features 36 slot machines and offers the Ukrainians Las Vegas-style entertainment. The casino cost $92,832 to build. Andris Avila, a company spokesperson, said that Olympic Casino plans to open an additional 10 new slot machine casinos in the city by the end of 2006.
Marje Braunbrück, Olympic Casino's marketing manager, was quoted as saying, "We consider our strong point to be primarily the carefully considered concept that has proved its worth by now, according to which we are not just a place for gaming but rather an entertainment center. [...] The stylish interior design, first rate services, bar, latest [slots] gaming machines and additional winning opportunities entice even those to the casino who have not regarded this type of entertainment very highly.”
Currently, there are 16 Olympic Casino brand slots casinos in Estonia, seven in Lithuania, five in Latvia, and five in Ukraine. In total, Olympic Casino employs over 1,200 people in the Baltic states and the Ukraine. Since entering the Ukrainian gambling market, Olympic Casino has already invested approximately $7 million in its operations there.
