A woman driver who died on Sunday in a car crash in West Virginia has been identified as Danielle Kline, a resident of Martinsburg. According to Berkley County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Kenny Lemaster, the 23-year-old car accident victim was driving a Ford Explorer and was headed west on W.Va. 45. Kline was an employee of Charles Town Races & Slots, a local racetrack that operates slot machines.
The sheriff's department surmised that Kline's car crossed the center line and hit another sports car which was headed east. Three passengers of the eastbound vehicle suffered grave injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Lemaster also reportedly said that his department has not been able to identify these individuals because investigators assigned to the case have been busy working on other parts of this investigation.
Roger Ramey, spokesperson for Charles Town Races & Slots, was reported as saying that he did not know of Kline's accident, and that it had resulted in a fatality, until another slots track employee told him about the car crash yesterday. Ramney was not acquainted with Kline, who served as a cocktail waitress at the facility. There were no witnesses to Kline's crash and police are asking the public to assist in gathering relevant information.
