Californian Couple Hits Big Slots Jackpot at Local Casino
Kelly and Gordon Young, residents of San Joaquin County, California, recently hit an outstanding jackpot of $480,000 while playing a progressive, quarter slot machine at Jackson Rancheria, a local casino complex. The couple never believed they would be so fortunate.
The winning slot machine, “Wheel of Gold,” was manufactured by International Game Technology, a prominent slots maker. According to Carol Cook, marketing communications manager for the casino, IGT has provided similar slot machines to numerous gaming venues around the western U.S.
When asked what they intend to do with their newly acquired slots money, the Youngs were reported as saying that they have made arrangements to take their children on a vacation to Disneyland. The family will receive the money through checks issued on a yearly basis for the next 20 years.
