Slot Machines To Be Added at the Pocono Downs
Slot machine gamblers will soon be able to enjoy their favorite game at the Pocono Downs. Following the bill passed by the Pennsylvania State Gaming Board allowing racetracks to include slots facilities, it was announced that the Pocono Downs will now be called Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
This new structure, which will house 2,000 slot machines, as well as three restaurants, will probably open around February 2007, and will also include a buffet, food court, bars, retail space and much more. About 1,000 slot machines will be in the site's renovated facilities, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2006.
The Pocono Downs is not the only racetrack that will have additional slot machines. Residents have shown enthusiasm to the addition of slot machines at the downs, however it may take years before this actually happens.
