Katrina Survivor Plays Slots and Wins $1.6 Million Dollars
Jacquelyn Sherman, a Hurricane Katrina survivor who's been living for the past month with family in Opelousas, Louisiana, recently told her niece she was feeling depressed. However, winning $1.6 million dollars playing slots has undoubtedly changed all that.
On Tuesday, Sherman prayed with her sister for good things to befall them. Later that evening, she put $20 in the “Wheel of Fortune” slot machine. The machine lived up to its name and Sherman won a grand prize of $1.6 million.
