Trump Entertainment Inc. Selects Site for Potential Slots Parlor
According to a recent report, Trump Entertainment Inc., owner and operator of three Atlantic City casinos, has chosen a site to house a potential slots parlor in Philadelphia. The company has engaged a five-year option to lease an 18-acre property located at Interstate 76 and Pennsylvania Route 1.
Trump Entertainment has already submitted an application requesting a slots operation license, the likes of which Pennsylvania legislative authorities are getting ready to issue. The company is reportedly seeking authorization to install and operate as many as 3,000 slot machines at the aforementioned site.
In the case that such a slots license is granted to Trump, it will examine the option of developing and constructing a gaming and entertainment complex on the property, which, according to Robert Pickus, executive vice president and general counsel for Trump Entertainment, offers more accessibility than other possible sites.
