Son of Oneida Case Judge Hits $45,000 Slots Jackpot
According to a recent report, Neal McCurn Jr., the 42-year old son of U.S. District Judge Neal McCurn, who handled land claims filed by the Oneida Indian Nation for more than twenty years, hit an impressive jackpot of $45,000 while playing a slot machine at the Oneida tribal casino.

The lucky gambler, who reportedly has been visiting the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, every couple of months, was reported as saying that he never won any money before, including in slots. When he revealed his fortune to his father at a family gathering, Judge McCurn Sr. was rather surprised.

McCurn Sr., 79 years of age, also reportedly said that he would never visit the slots casino, at least as long as the tribal battle over Oneida's land is not legally resolved. The judge said that he feels that it is improper to have his family's name written on a check coming from the tribal casino.
