Resident of Keokuk, Iowa, Hits Million Dollar Slots Jackpot
It was recently reported that Jerry Lee Wichman, a resident of Keokuk, Iowa, hit the progressive jackpot of a Wheel of Fortune-themed slot machine, while playing slots at the Catfish Bend Casino in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Wichman, a retired carpenter, was reported as saying that he invested approximately $60 in the slot machine before sweeping the grand prize. When asked what he plans to do with the million dollars he won at slots, he said that he is going to pay his bills, go on vacation and spoil his grandsons.
Catfish Bend Riverboat Casino is a riverboat casino, which started operating in November, 1994. The 13,600 square foot casino features 540 slots and twenty-eight table games. It is open Tuesday 8am continuously through Monday 2am., and re-opens the following Monday at 8am.
