A police task force in Chicopee, Massachusetts, searched the town’s various venues, such as bars, stores and restaurants, in order to conduct an ”administrative review” of slot machines around the city.
According to state police Sgt. Michael Imelio, the information gathered throughout the search is to be presented to Chicopee’s License Commission. The city police will reportedly try to convince the Commission members to forbid slots gaming across the city.
Imelio was also reported as saying that the conducted review supported the belief that slots gaming must be banned, as the slot machines under evaluation were exposed as being equipped with prohibited gaming devices. However, the police neither confiscated any machines nor pursued criminal charges against illegal slots owners, at least for the present time.
