Minority Owned Firms Encouraged to Cooperate with Pennsylvania Slots Casinos
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is about to hold two Diversity Forums, aiming to develop business relations between small or women/minority-owned in-state companies and local slots casinos, planned to be constructed in the near future.
Pennsylvania state officials are reportedly interested in seeing such cooperation between companies specializing the areas of housekeeping, food catering, marketing security and others, and slots casinos across the state. The reason for such an interest is the officials’ hope that these businesses would profit from the lucrative slots industry.
The meeting in Pittsburgh will take place on October 27, on the campus of Duquesne University. Among the main subjects to be discussed are "An Overview of Gaming in Pennsylvania," "Advancing Diversity among Manufacturers and Suppliers" and "Preparing to Do Business."
Once more details become available, they will appear on the on the Board’s internet site: www.pgcb.state.pa.us.
