Country Duo Releases Slot Machine-Themed Music Video
In cooperation with motion design and production studio Lightborne, The Warren Brothers, a country music act, recently released a new slot machine-themed music video. The video was co-directed by Lightborne and Shaun Silva of Tacklebox Films.
Under the name “Change,” the band’s song talks about the various chance changes that people go through. According to Leightborne Creative Director Ben Nicholson, the slot machine represents this concept in the most accurate manner, in that life events are as random as the chance to win at slots.
Lighborne Editor Jeremiah Shuff employed a triptych device so as to create an extremely choreographed edit that emphasizes the poignant storyline of the clip. Shuff was also reported as saying that the slot machine setup is the perfect stage to describe the gambles life forces us to take, and the fact that we can never control them.
