Gambler Loses Lawsuit against Detroit Casino over Slots Winnings
Mark Cowsert, a gambler who filed a lawsuit against the Greektown Casino in Detroit, Michigan, recently lost the case he filed with the state Court of Appeals. Cowsert argued that the casino refused to pay him his allegedly rightful slots winnings.

The court supported a Wayne County judge's ruling that Cowsert must first turn to the Michigan Gaming Control Board, an organization that controls the Detroit slots casinos. Cowsert did go to the Board on the matter, but in the meantime, he also filed a lawsuit in Wayne County Circuit Court.

David Katzman, the attorney representing Cowsert, reportedly said that he and his client are considering the option of filing an appeal directly with the Michigan Supreme Court. According to Cowsert, the slot machines casino owes him $13,757,317.37 in winnings.
