Seminole Tribe Fights for Slots Gambling Expansion
It was recently reported that the General Counsel of Florida, backed by Governor Jeb Bush, is about to commence negotiations with the Seminole Tribe regarding the authorization of expanding gambling options, such as slots, at tribal gaming facilities.
Although Florida’s legislative authority failed to produce any conclusive regulations concerning slot machines in its last session, Florida voters did approve slots installation in the already existing tribal casinos.
The Seminoles reportedly said that they not only want the authorization of Las Vegas-style slots on the premises of their facilities, but also other casino games, such as craps, blackjack.
Governor Bush was reported as saying that the time has come for Florida to change its view on gaming venues.
