It was recently reported that on June 4, 2005, a woman gambler hit a Megabucks slot jackpot of $2,016,543 while playing slots at the Point Edward Charity Casino in Point Edward, Ontario. The fact that Ladell Mobley, a resident of Commerce Township, Michigan, won such a big sum of money is astonishing, as it was her first visit to this particular casino.
Point Edward Charity Casino opened for business in April 2000. It is owned and operated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. Stuart Walker, General Manager of the Point Edward Charity Casino, was quoted as saying, “It was a pleasure to make Ladell's first visit to our site so special!"
