Slots Opponents from Pennsylvania and Maryland Convene
Recently, it was reported that a group opposing slots installation in Maryland convened with Pennsylvanian slots opponents in order to discuss possible strategies to prevent slots operation and expansion in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The gathering was a reaction to the fact that Pennsylvania's legislative authorities are considering the installation of slot machines in 12 different casinos across the state.
Although the proposal to authorize slots in Maryland was not approved by the House of Delegates, Del. Curtis S. Anderson reportedly said that if the opposition will not succeed in preventing slots in Pennsylvania, ultimately, they would not be able to do the same in Maryland.
In any case, voting regarding slots in Pennsylvania is scheduled for June. Until then, nobody can predict whether or not slots will be legalized in the state.
