Connecticut's slots market has slowly recuperated from the winter months' relative slump. Contributing to the rebound were increased revenues incurred by Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun.
These two slots facilities made serious profits, registering 10 percent and eight and a half percent increases, respectively. Both Bill Sherlock, the CEO of Foxwoods, and Jeffrey Hartmann, the COO of Mohegan Sun, explained that the increase in revenue for both slots casinos is partly due to the draw of recent celebrity performances, including those by Cher, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart and others, which were organized by the casinos.
