Donald Trump’s casino corporation recently revealed that once its bankruptcy period is over, it will probably seek to obtain a permit to operate a slots casino in the Philadelphia area. Scott Butera, president and CEO of Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts was quoted as saying that the company has already come across several potential locations that might serve as the grounds of a future slots facility.
One possible venue is property formerly owned by Budd Co., located in Nicetown. The appeal of this particular 78 acre property is in the fact that it is near the expressway and there is room for extensive development in the area.
The Camden bankruptcy court accepted the reorganization proposal suggested by Trump and he is expected to emerge from bankruptcy on May 20. Obtaining the license to operate a slots casino in Philadelphia should also serve to bolster Trump's three casinos in Atlantic City.
