Slots and gambling machine provider Moca Slot, a company under the control of Hong Kong-listed Melco International Development, recently opened a new electronic gaming hall, complete with slots, at Macau's Hotel Taipa Square. Nowadays, Moca Slot is trying its luck in the field of electronic editions of multiplayer casino games, instead of just one-person slots.
Among the attractions of the new hall, which include electronic versions of baccarat, blackjack and roulette, there are three-card poker machines, which were unknown in Asia until this point. The electronic casino games let a number of gamblers place their bets at the same time, while a virtual casino dealer manages the game.
Although in Macau, profits from slot machines are somewhat meager, as compared with the U.S. and Australia, Melco believes that the situation can and will be altered. The company’s managing director Lawrence Ho, was quoted as saying that he believes that Macau's Slots market will grow, although it currently makes up only a small portion of overall gaming revenue.
