It was reported that the administrators of Penn National Gaming Inc. are keen to start developing their new slots casino project in Maine. The company’s goal is to prove to state officials that not only will the casino not damage the area's reputation, but it will even bring profits for the residents of Maine as a whole and Bangor in particular.
Eric Schippers, a representative of Penn National Gaming, was quoted as saying that the company has already started its negotiations with Erin Co., the company which manages the Holiday Inn hotel. The hotel is one of the only facilities in the area capable of supporting the 1,500 square-ft slots casino. Schippes also disclosed that the general manager of the Bangor casino has already been selected, but has yet to reveal his identity.
